It’s been a whale of year.

It’s time for a break.

Every year I do a lot, and every year, this spiritual teaching work demands a lot.

I have said in the past, and it is still true to do: “As a spiritual teacher, you spend more time in Hell than in Heaven.”

Walking people out of suffering is emotionally demanding. If anyone is interested in being a teacher, healer, or helper (or already are), you are welcome to ask for a session to talk about it (mostly likely this session will be in 2024).

I’m taking 2 1/2 weeks off from December 20th to January 6th to help emotionally resource myself.

Thus far, people have already been wonderfully generous. I’ve received $1805 towards my break.

Thank you!

Because of inflation, my target is $5000.

If you would like to help, please go to this PayPal link to donate. It’s not tax-deductible, but it is extremely helpful.

I have more thoughts below on the work I’ve done and much of what I do every year to make myself available to all of you with all my services and my many free offerings.

In love and kindness,

Jim Tolles

2023 Was A Beast

A lot has gone on this year. As every year goes by, running a website and being found online get harder and harder.

Some of the unique things I did this year include:

  • Finding an agency to fix my website
  • Working with students who came to visit me in Oregon
  • Changing my business model because people mostly stopped attending classes
  • Putting much more effort into becoming a community builder and teaching people how to do this.

Here are some of the things that I’ve done for all of you for free:

  • Free blog posts (writing new ones and occasionally updating old ones)
  • Free newsletters
  • Free YouTube videos
  • Free social media responses
  • Free email responses

Other background stuff I do every year include:

  • Managing my accounting
  • Managing my website (spam comments, backing up the blog, etc.)
  • Doing basic clerical work
  • Researching new technologies, social media possibilities, etc.
  • Addressing business licensing, taxation, and other business issues as needed
  • Reviewing data privacy practices and making updates to legal documents

It’s a lot for one person, and this work isn’t lucrative enough for me to be able to pay someone else fairly. So I do almost everything on my own with the exception of a little volunteer help from time to time.

If you feel called to help support me, your donation means a lot.

Thanks to everyone who has donated for sessions, community gatherings, and classes this year and in the past. You’ve made this work possible. You’ve helped me to help so many people around the world.

Thanks!

In love and kindness,

Jim
