I loved Christmas as a child. I found it fun to think of gifts to give to my family.

Of course, I also loved the anticipation and the opening of gifts.

I think I loved most that my parents seemed happiest during this time.

After my spiritual awakening, Christmas hasn’t been the same. I see it for what it is: a made-up holiday.

The other side of that is that we can make it up in any way that we want to.

It’s so unfortunate, however, that people forget this.

The usual resistance to this reality is about what others will think or do, but a lot of other people want to create the holiday differently too. Lots of people are tired of the sense of obligation and materialism and the rushing and expenses and stress. Christmas can be about anything!

Any day can be anything.

Any day can be a Holy-day.

Remember that you have the freedom to change these things in your life.

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it!
